Global Compact Principles
Delta Lloyd Asset Management assesses listed companies for their
involvement in controversial business practices based on input from
the independent research agency Sustainalytics. This research is
based on the United Nations Global Compact Principles, which are
ten universal principles concerning human rights, employment,
environment and anti-corruption.
Delta Lloyd Asset Management excludes a company if it violates
these principles repeatedly or seriously.
Controversial Weapons
Controversial weapons are weapons with a disproportionate
number of victims, a disproportionate impact or which do not
differentiate between military and civilian targets. The impact of
these weapons can last for many years after their initial
use.
Delta Lloyd Asset Management strongly disapproves of the
production, trade and/or use of controversial weapons. We therefore
exclude companies which are involved in the production and
development of controversial weapons.
The list drawn up by Delta Lloyd Asset Management excludes the
following types of weapons:
1. antipersonnel mines
2. biological weapons
3. chemical weapons
4. cluster weapons
5. depleted uranium
6. white phosphorus
